Financial Role of the Parents' Association
Financial Role of the Parents' Association
Allocation of funding to approved initiatives and projects, within the College community, is via funds raised by the annual Parents' Association Levy. This negates formal fundraising on a yearly basis.
Recent examples of funding initiatives include:
- LED roadside sign
- 2000 chairs for the new gymnasium
- Telescope
- Three College buses
- Partial funding of air-conditioning throughout the College
- Angelo's Village primary learning facility
- Playground for Years 4-6
Some examples of the ongoing and future initiatives of the Parents' Association are through:
- Financial support of the educational program of speakers arranged through the "Inspire" sub-committee and
- Support of newly developed initiatives at the College such as "The Men of John XXIII".
For suggestions of areas requiring future funding, the Guidelines for Funding Proposal Form must be completed. This may be obtained by emailing the Association on parentsassociation@johnxxiii.edu.au or through the attached link.
All proposals are reviewed by the Parents' Association Committee and relevant members of the school's leadership team to ensure the proposed initiative aligns with the school's direction and plans.
Funding proposals must be received 2 weeks prior to the scheduled Parents' Association meeting to be considered at that meeting. Proposals received after that cut off will be considered at the next Parents' Association meeting in the following term.
